I noticed tonight that a bouquet of small toy balloons...something from the top of a birthday cake...apparently was near the back of my toaster oven and melted onto it...really, really, really well. What do I do to get it off? Thanks!

What can I do next?

first instinct is to say to freeze it if possible - was not possible for us so I warmed oven (not too hot or smoke and smell I figure) and then gently scraped and rubbed to remove plastic film! good luck!

if the top of the toaster oven is metal you can freeze the plastic and it will pop right off. To freeze it either put an ice pack on it or use a can freezing agent. After it cools and hardens you might also be able to pop it off with an icing spatula or any other very flat metal spatula. Hope this helps!!

Hi,
Have you tried soft scrub cleanser yet? That was great for getting crayon off when my kids were small. It took it off everywhere and didn't damage the surface..May be worth a try. Good luck!
