Hello!

Wanted to know if anyone can recommend some great slippers (that stay on VERY active children)?

I have gotten in the past ones from Gap, they are like their little bear logo, and the kids like them and they don't fall off but the liner comes out in a matter of a few days. Wondered how the Old Navy ones are?

I don't want to spend over $18 since I need to buy a couple of pairs. Appreciate any and all suggestions that you all may have.

What can I do next?

I have got my son a pair at JC penny they are great he has just grown out them and will get him a new pair this year. His pair has buzz light year on top of them. They look like adult slippers which he really likes nothing heavy or bulky on top like past slippers we have had. They were very reasonable priced 2yrs ago when we got. Was at Jc penny shoe shopping and seen them but did not check out the price.

Get sock type with grippers on the bottom. They are the only thing that stay on and don't cause tripping.

I have to agree with the socks with the non-skid bottoms. I've tried many different styles. They either cause them to trip, slip, or they just fall off. One Step Ahead has little soft shoes/socks that are GREAT!!!!!

We've had the Old Navy ones for my four year old son. Actually, we bought a pair last year when he was three and just bought another pair because he outgrew them.

They fit good and stay on pretty well, and the price is always right at Old Navy!

Personally, I wear slippers all the time, not shoes really. I do home daycare and we keep our house at 68* (drop to 58* overnight)..we like the cold. But after 2 foot surgeries a few years ago, I have nerve damage in my right foot, so have a hard time maintianing my foot temp (can't wiggle it like we noramlly do which keeps it warmer).

I love and wear for 12+ hours a day, Acorn slippers..the Polar Moc ones. They make a few kinds for kids..slipper sock topped ones and the polar moc ones like I wear. Thru Acorn online they are $20...so I would look around online or for local stores who may have sales and coupons and odd sizes or last years color choices on clearance.

I just toss them in the washing machine every so often..they shrink a bit and feel a bit snug for a day or 2, then are fine. I have 2 pairs and this will be my 3rd winter using them (I asked for them for Christmas that year) and they still look almost new! Like I said, I wear them for 12 hour work days plus in the evenings and just wash them every so often!

I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

When it comes to shoes you usually get what you pay for. Maybe a good glue to reattach the liner...?

I had great luck last winter with the Old Navy fleece bootie slippers that velcro at the ankles. They stayed on and kept my toddler's feet warm in our very drafty old house. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't seem very anti-slip on the bottom, though my daughter did pretty well staying upright, and they ran very small. Good luck!
