My 3 yr old has not been able to keep down any food since yesterday! I am giving her pedialite and seems to be keeping that down. She has no fever and is playing like usual, last night she woke from her sleep to throw up twice! Any advice/ comments on what is going on and how long a stumch flu might last! She has never gotten sick like this before

What can I do next?

as long as she is getting pedialite i think you just gotta wait it out for the long haul. What did she throw up in the middle of the night??? If she threw up mucous she could have a sinus issue one time my daughter had a bad sinus infection but she had nothing coming out of her nose it was all blocked up in her sinus cavities and would drain down the back of her throat. If it was just dry heaves and a little bile then i would just think its a bug which can last 24-48 hours and after that watch out for milk. One time both my kids couldnt handle milk for a week after their stomach bug or they would throw up again.

As long as keeping the child hydrated with pedialyte is going well stick with it as a lot of kids won't drink it or anything. Keep the stomach quiet for several hours with this and then advance to gentle foods such as bread, crackers, applesauce(plain unsweetened), rice and plain noodles. If vomiting starts again back up to the pedialyte. Wash hands well in your house wipe surfaces with a 1 in 10 bleach solution. Stay home until better usually a few days if taken care with proper rest and rehydration longer if not.

My son had this last year. It lasted for 7 solid days. I gave my son gatorade instead of pedialyte though because pedialyte has all of that artificial sugar. On the 8th day, he was able to eat without problem.

I happen to run a home daycare and have a great neighborhood where us moms share all sorts of info. Sounds exactly like what's going around. Throwing up a couple of times, maybe some diahrrhea, and feeling lethargic. For the most part, it plays out over two days, but the bowel issues seems to not get back on track for about a week. Get your little one some probiotics, the pharmacy tech should be able to help you out. They come in little powdered packets and are great. Keep to bland foods-the less color the better until you see normal poops and your little one is asking for realy food again. Don't push anything to fast. It's just a bug and it will ride itself out. Hope this helps!
