Find an agency. You dont have to go through this alone. To the posters that are trying to change your mind I have serious questions for you. Every child is a gift from God. Adoptive parents think that the timing may be right for them to recieve a child too. If you can not care for the child adoption is the perfect answer. The older children will understand one day. You need to do what is right for your family. Good luck and God Bless you. Choosing adoption is the most selfless thing you can do.

I have 3 of my own, and cannot possibly handle another, and don't know of anyone looking to adopt.

I just wanted to let you know what an UNSELFISH, WONDERFUL decision you have made. It has to be the toughest in the world, and I commend you for that!

Are you sure you want to do that? I know you are seeking advice on who would want to adopt, but have you thought about what your 4 year old will ask as your belly grows and then you come home without her baby brother or sister? It sounds like you must be going through a lot to hav considered this, but maybe you'd want to think it over a little better. I have to agree with the other person. A child is a gift from God and everything happens for a reason. You may not see it now, but your decision could take an emotional toll on you later when the feelings of guilt start to arise. Children bring joy into our lives and they also teach us a lesson from time to time. As a mom of two children already, you must know that while it is hard, it can be very rewarding too. I have a neighbor who desperately wants to be a mom. She is married to a nice man, he works full time, they have a nice home, and are sweet, great people. She has tried adoption twice and both times the mother backed out after the baby was born. Would you like to give me your contact info and I could pass it along to her?

It sounds like you're researching your options here. Though I'm sure that this is a difficult decision to make, please note that it's still early and your mind might be all over the place. Don't feel bullied into any decision, but I would like to suggest that you seek counseling just to help guide you through this process, offering you perspective and a bit of balance. It'll no doubt be a pretty stressful and emotional time, as only you can determine what is right for your life and your family right now.
