Hello Ladies!! Long story short - Adult woman that never learned to swim and desperately wants to learn before the end of summer. However, with a tight budget, I need very reasonable lessons and the instructor needs to be very patient. Please let me know if you know of anyone that would be willing to come to my pool or I do not mind traveling a little bit. I am on the West side of town. Thank you.

I think swimming is very important for all ages. I know they have adult lessons.
Houston Swim CLub has lessons for adults and they are very patient, not sure about price. My kids go there and I think they are reasonable

I think it would be a good idea to stop by MAC, Memorial Athletic club..... in the corner of Memorial and Dairy Ashford...
They have swimming lessons, I do think their prices are reasonable. I was looking into it for my son and 4 Private lessons is $142 this price if for one on one but they have small groups and that must be even more reasonable.
You do not have to be a member to take the swimming lessons, you just stop by and ask or they have fliers just by the entrance.
I exercise there and it is very friendly and laid back environment where everybody mind their own business and if you like making friends there is an opportunity too. I see a lot of people going to the pool lately, the season just picked up.

I'm not sure how West you are or want to go, but I just did lessons for my 4 year old at Peckham park in Old Katy. They have Red Cross swim lessons for all ages. The pool is indoors. The coaches are wonderful and very patient. I paid $48 for 6 40-min. lessons which is extremely reasonable. My daughter is swimming now (yay!). My daughter is taking swim lessons at Houston Swim Club and we have been impressed with them. We have been going to the Pearland location, but I know they have several and they do teach adults. I would recommend giving them a call and just stopping by to check it out.
