Seeking Toddler Play Group in Blue Ash/Reading Area

Looking to provide my daughter with a playgroup containing children of approximate age (3yrs). Live in Reading would be willing to drive to surrounding communities for play dates. Would like to join a bigger group that meets on a regular basis (2 times a month?) and then hopefully find a close friend or 2 for my daughter and get together with more often.

What can I do next?

Hi, N.. You may be interested in this weekly playgroup:

Title: NortheastRP playgroup - Seven Gables Park

Date: Tuesday April 15, 2008
Time: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Repeats: This event repeats every week.
Location: Seven Gables Park - Symmes

The "RP" stands for respectful parenting -- attachment parenting. You can check out the yahoo group under NortheastRP, or also the Cincinnatiattachedparents yahoo group may have some gatherings that interest you.

Good luck!

I live in Lebanon, Ohio which isn't too far and I have a three year old daughter. We moved here from Columbus 4 years ago but we are originally from Toledo. All of our friends and family are up there so I know how you feel. I am a SAHM also. I posted that I wanted a small playgroup for my daughter or just someone who was new to the area but didn't get much response so keep me in mind sometime. I really didn't want to join somewhere and spend money either. You can email me on here.

Hi, N.! I know how you feel. I am originally from Kansas and have lived in several places. We moved here to this area about 2 years ago, also from PA. About a year ago, I posted on here about finding a play group as well. I met a great friend who told me about MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). The group that I attend is in Kenwood at Kenwood Baptist Church. I started going last March and have met some amazing people. My boys have made some friends and they love going. There are MOPS groups all over Cincinnati, but this group meets once a month on the second THursday. During the summer our group meets at different parks for playdates and that is every other week. These playdates were when I really got to know some of the other moms. If you would like more info on MOPS, please send me a message. I would love to help you find some friends because I so understand how lonely it can be. I have three boys, but we can always set up a playdate some time if you would like.

I've lived in Blue Ash for 21 years - moved in before we had kids. Once summer hits, the Blue Ash Rec Center pool is a great way to meet other SAHMs. The MOPS group is too, except they never return my message to offer them a free program. Anyway, I'd like to offer a choice for a playgroup you may not have thought of... Moms get things done while kids play: Would you be interested in photo and memorabilia organizing as well as scrapbooking and digital storybook workshops and crop time? You could start off learning scrapbook shortcuts, then meet at my workshop space on a regular basis to get it done and have an indoor place for the kids to play in the same room of a large finished basement. See details of my Mom-owned-business. I offer business opportunities as well. Please share this with the other moms who have rsponded, if they are interested. (I even saw another M. respond!!) FYI: My girls are 11 and 17 yrs. old, but I still have some sturdy kids toys around, or you can bring their favorite. Thanks.
