Do you know of any programs that provide swimming lessons for 8 year and 7 mos children.
You might want to try the King County Aquatic Center. I think my sister-in-law has taken her girls there.

The Federal Way Community Center by Celebration Park does lessons, as well as the aquatic center off of 348th. We actually take our two to the Fife community center. They also have a parent tot class where you would be in the pool with your 7 month old.

How about the "Y"? My daughter has been in swimming clases at our local chapter since she was about 6, and while there, I have seen the baby classes in session--I just love to watch them splash around! :)

My 4 year old daughter goes to the King County Aquatics Center in Fed Way. They have been awesome. We are getting ready to start her third session and she is already swimming without assistace for at least 8 feet. I know they have programs for all ages but I believe for kids under 3 years old the classes they offer are parent participation only. Hope this helps.
