Does anyone have a great pediatrician in the Allen, TX area? My 4-month old may have acid reflux (GERD) and I'd like a second opinion. Also, if any of you have infants with this problem, any advice on dealing with it? Thanks!

We love all of the docs at Centennial Pediatrics. I am not sure which part of Allen you need, but they are in Frisco at Coit and 121. Good Luck!

We absolutely love Raintree Pediatrics (I have a recommendation for them posted). We usually see either Amber or Dr. Cook, but our experience has been good with everyone in the office. I've also heard wonderful things about Dr. Moulton at Presbyterian of Allen. He used to partner with Dr. Cook until their practice got really crowded (everyone else liked them too!) and they split and Dr. Cook moved across the street. We visited the practice a few times before Dr. Cook moved, but I don't have much personal experience with Dr. Moulton. But these are the two pediatrician offices in Allen that everyone seems to love.

Hi T.,
We use Dr. Dan Moulton. He is located in Allen Presbyterian Hospital ###-###-####). He is great with putting my 2 year old daughter at ease and he really takes his time with the parents answering questions. I've been very happy with the care he has provided and his staff is super nice as well.
Sorry, I don't have any experience with GERD, but I hope you get everything sorted out and your son feels better soon.

We see Amber Jones (she is actually a P.A.)at Raintree Pediatrics in Allen. She is with Dr. Yuri Cook and Dr. Kim Smith, who are also wonderful. We absolutely LOVE Amber...she loves our son so much and has been proactive about anything that comes up with him. I am so thankful to have her and trust her 100% with the care of my child.

Hi T.,
I live in Carrollton and my son's pediatrician is also in Carrollton so I can't help you there but my son also has major GERD problems. It developed soon after he had surgery for peloric stenosis (sp?) at 3 months. He is 2 1/2 years and has already become immune to the medicine he was taking (Prevacid). He started taking it at 1 yr. It is in capsule form and you just open the capsule and put it in his milk. You can ask the doctor if he is too young right now for that option. I can't remember what we did before that.

Being 4 months old, strap him into his infant seat and let him sleep in it at night. It helps prop him up vs. laying down (which seems to be worse at night for that reason). He probably doesn't move much right now and it wouldn't really bother him.
