I am looking for a great nurse midwife to deliver my 3rd baby. We will be moving to the Mpls area (not sure where yet...) in 2 weeks and I am due in October. Also would appreciate any recommendations for pediatricians/family practice.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

I'm having my second child with Fairview Riverside WOmen's Clinic and thier midwives. The first time through I rotated through all of the midwives to get to meet them. This time around I'm working with John.

It's a great group and I highly recommend them.

They birth at Fairview University Riverside Hospital.

I delivered my daughter with the midwife group (there are about 8 certified nurse midwives and 6 or 7 OB/Gyn's that practice there) at Riverside Women's Clinic. They have delivery privileges at Fairview University Hospital. We had a wonderful prenatal and delivery experience. Riverside Women's Clinic has a website with provider information etc....

If you are going to be living in St. Paul, I know that HealthEast has some excellent midwife clinics as well.

Good luck.

I had my baby at HCMC (Hennipin County Medical Center) downtown Mpls with their Midwife group. You deliver with whoever is on duty at the time and you can also rotate your prenatals with different midwives so you get to know a few. It was my first baby, but I thought the care I got was great. I would definately go back there again. The rooms are great too!

I am also due with my third baby in Oct. I have a WONDERFUL nurse midwife (Deb Stealey) that goes over the top to care for you. I also have a wonderful surgeon (Daniel Chow) (this will be my 3rd C-Section). I go to Diamond Women's Cetner in Edina ###-###-####)- just off of 494 and France Ave. They are absolutely wonderful. To top things off, I also see my midwifes husband (Tom Stealey) who is one of the best pediatrictions in town. He works at Metropolitian Pediatrics (in the same building as Diamond Women's Center) their number is ###-###-####. I really encourage you to check both of them out. Over the past years my husband and I feel as if we've gained a few new friends - they are all wonderful people.

I also used D. Stealy from the Diamond Women's group. She is wonderful. I used her with my second daugther and my labour went so much smoother than my first. I highly recommend her to everyone.
