Seeking Child/infant Cpr/safety Class - Any Recommendations?

My husband and I are expecting our first child in September and are trying to look into taking a CPR/infant safety class prior to the big day. I've looked into American Red Cross (schedule doesn't work well for us) and the hospital, but wondered if anyone had any other recommendations. Due to work schedules, we're limited to evening/weekend classes. Thank you so much!

So What Happened?

I ended up going on bed rest starting at week 32 - my husband and I are going to look into getting a CPR DVD. Thanks for your help!

The class we took was through
Wellstar Kennestone (which is where we delivered) and they had classes that were evening/weekend. The cpr class we took, actually all except the birthing class was night classes and the birthing, we took the 2 Sunday afternoon option.

Contact any hospital and their education department can help you with classes. The American Red Cross and even some EMT units, such a "First Response" can teach these classes, too. I am a preschool teacher and we have to be certified in First Aid and CPR. This is where we go for those education needs.
Good luck,
Cathy

Hi H. - I'm a first time mom, due 12/3. I have some friends who had their first a year ago and live in Oakhurst. They went to a 4 hour class at a local (Decatur/Oakhurst) fire station on a Saturday that she suggested I attend. Check with your local fire stations and see if they have any Saturday classes.
