Hi Moms-
I'm looking for activities, things to do, playgroups, etc. in Evanston. I have a 7 month old of my own and care for an 8 month old. Would love to join a mom/baby playgroup or get ideas of things we can do in the area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you heard of Meetup? It is a website that helps people find groups based on topics. I started a moms group in my town, Libertyville. I know there are a couple of groups in Chicago. Just so you know most groups are geared as playgroups for toddlers but it is good place to meet other moms. Good luck!

I am in West Rogers Pk., a few minutes from Evanston and I have two of my own who are 16 months old. We could do a morning group for them if you'd like. We have lots of toys and we'd be happy to hang out and meet you guys!
I don't know what kind of activities you are interested in, but the infant cognition lab at Northwestern University has studies for kids between 2.5 months and 10.5 months (and there are other labs around campus that work with kids up to 6 years of age). hi! i live in evanston and also put a request in earlier for a playgroup. ethan is 20 months old, but loves kids of all ages. another mom jodi had responded to me and we are planning on meeting up. i'd love to start a little group for regular playdates/meetups.
i also am part of meetup.com's chicago moms in the city. its a great resource and there are always activities to attend. the moms i've met are all great.
