I feel I'm in a rut and the kids need some new items for snack. These are individual snacks not sacks to share and must be nut free per classroom policy.

my kids are artificial food dye and HFCS free which is why I've notated the organic items.

Snack is after lunch so long into the day. They don't like dried fruit. Here's what we already do:

Organic cheese sandwich crackers
Applesauce
pretzels
Organic nut free snack bars
Fresh fruit
Yogurt covered rasins but these aren't filling and generally go with another snack

Any additional ideas? Also if cold items for an afternoon snack how do you keep them cold? They take lunch daily so lunch boxes are already at capacity

What can I do next?

have you found tiny snack size ice packs and coolers? Their backpacks are full due to their lunch so I've been looking around for snack size ice pack and insulated bag. I found a few on amazon but would love recommendations. Yes school wants snack packed seperately

Just remember that adults tire of foods much more quickly than kids. Just because you are in a rut doesn't necessarily mean your kids are. They might actually be ok with what you are giving. If they do want some more variety, they might still be ok with what you are giving them ... just not as often.

At our school, they aren't allowed to bring anything that requires a spoon for snack. And snack can't go in the lunchbox (teachers are afraid kids are accidentally eating their lunches). My kids are big fans of popcorn for snack at school. They also like rice rollers...something I get at Costco. It's similar to a rice krispie treat, but a healthier version. Sometimes, they bring homemade beef jerky. Veggies or fruit are another options.

My son loves rice rolls as well. His go to's are those or granola bars or an apple. He is very much a kid who likes what he likes, so we let him choose his snack between the options we give him. I would say 4 days out of 5 he will choose the granola bars, the other day it just depends on his mood.

Hummus and veggies, hard boiled eggs, cheese strings and crackers, tuna and crackers, yogurt. Keep cold in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. My kids bring lunch and there is still plenty of room in lunch bags for snacks. Maybe get a bigger lunch bag or a second snack bag?
