Has anyone used these? I have used Pampers primarily for my baby, but have heard good things. Would love to hear your experiences - i.e., do they hold up at night, problems with leakage, etc.

Hi Maryam,

I've used Sam's diapers (smiles) on my 2 year old for over a year now. I think they do a great job. They are not like other off brands (they are definately better), but not as good as the one's that cost $10 more at Sam's (Pampers & Huggies). To me, it is worth it. Maybe you should buy them and try them out... It's $19.99 for:

size 3 = 192 diapers
size 4 = 156 diapers
size 5 = 136 diapers

Hope this helps!!!

Well, I see you've had many responses already, but they seem mostly positive. If you'd like (if you live close enough) I could give you a pack of diapers (30-40) in size 4 to try. See, we always used Pampers but he had a rash that wouldn't go away for a long time and I decided to try different diapers. I've been using the Sam's diapers for about 6 months and have now gone back to Pampers. They just don't fit my skinny little man well and have a large gap at the inner leg where #2 would sometimes leak out. I usually caught it in time, so it wasn't too big a deal, but have just gotten tired of it. Back to Pampers. They don't leak #2, sometimes pee, but that's not as bad. I say "NO" to Sam's Smiles diapers. Let me know if you want the ones I have so you can try them out. I'm in McKinney.

Maryam:
I was a Pampers mom myself and recently tried the Sams diapers b/c they were so much cheaper and I didn't have any problems with them at all - they held up well and we didn't have any leaking through the night.

I used Sam's brand for my now 5 year old, and switched to Huggies because the others were leaking at night. It's possible they have improved them since then, though. Hope this helps!

We use SAMS "Member's Mark" brand and love them. At first, when she was younger/smaller (size 3, 4) we used Pampers at night. Now, she is 23 months (size 5) and we use them all night without any problem. No leaks day or night.

Hi Maryam,

My name is Mist & I have a 16 month old wonderful little boy & the only diapers that we use are the Wal-mart brand Parents Choice. We tried all the others & for some reason they are the cheapest & best ones for him. He has had leaking accidents only a couple of times but that is when he sleeps for over 12 hours. They are very good diapers & I would suggest getting them. Hope this helps.

I use the Smiles brand from Sam's and love them! I used to use White Cloud from Wal-Mart and I swear they are the same thing. They do not leak and he only had one problem at night - I have a 20 month old

Dear M.--

I've used Sam's diaper since my older daughter got into size 3 (I think that's the smallest ones they make--at least at my Sam's). I would put them up against anybody else's and they are $10 cheaper a box. You can't go wrong with them.

Great job saving money!

I've used Sam's and Walmart brands for both of my boys (ages 20 months and 3-1/2) and they've worked out great. However for nights I've used huggies or pampers in the past because they seem to hold more and are a bit more reliable. It might be a pain to have two kinds of diapers (one kind for daytime and another for night), but it will certianly save you $$ in the long run. Hope that helps.

I used to buy huggies and pampers both, but found they were fairly expensive, and the pampers to me didn't hold smell in well. I have been pretty much buying nothing but Sam's brand diapers, that goes for wipes too for almost 2 years as my daughter is now 28 months old. She has never leaked through, they hold up extremely well for a two year old to sleep through the night tossing and turning without ever a leak. I would highly recommend them, plus you can't beat the price.

We used the Sam's diapers from about 12-18months, but at about 18 months, she started getting horrid rashes with those diapers. If I put her in different diapers, it would go away. Returning to the Smiles diapers made it come back. I am planning to steer away from them as a precaution for my second child due any day. Otherwise, we never had any problems with store brand diapers.

Yes, I have heard good things from friends. I found a good deal on Pampers at BIG LOTS, but that is a shot in the dark sometimes. I'm not sure what the actual brand is, but Walmart has White Cloud. They are a little cheaper and work very good. The parent's choice diapers at Walmart are terrible.

I have found that even the most expensive diapers have leaks. With my first child, I always bought Pampers or Huggies, but we had terrible leaks. Now, with my second child, I buy the Walmart brand and they work just fine. I find that sometimes it helps to buy the next size up, especially if your child is more plump. There will always be leaks. You might try buying some of those rubber panties to put over the baby's diaper. Don't waste your money on the fancy diapers. They all work about the same.

Good luck,

I have used these diapers exclusively for both of my kids and with my daughter (2 years old) they are great-no leaks, and they fit good too. But with my 8 month old son they do not work at night. Every morning he wakes up soaked from front to back, but during the day they are fine for both. Hopes this helps.

HI! I just recently switched from Huggies to Sam's diapers, and we have used one package of them. Two things: first, they seem to be fine. They haven't leaked yet (they even have the leak guards), and they seem to be harder to get off (for the baby). They are pretty flexible. They don't leave little gel balls on the baby like some cheap ones. They stink a little sooner than Huggies (when he wakes up after a night in one, for instance) and they are definitely NOT swim diapers, they leak out gel. I think they are a pretty good diaper, and I wish I had tried them sooner, I could have saved some money.
Second: I asked them at Sam's and they said that if I wasn't satisfied with the diapers, I could return them.
Hope it Helps,
K.

Great diapers. We always used the expensive ones, thinking they were better quality. Then once we tried Sam's, we never bought another kind. They definitely work just as well as the pricey ones in every way!

I have 2 boys, 5 mos and 23 mos and it's all we use. No problems and my oldest is what Drs, daycare folks, etc.. refer to as a "heavy peeer". (If peeer is a word!)

I haven't had luck with the store brands, they have always leaked for me. I found boxes of Luvs at Big Lots for 14.99 a box so when they have them in I usually just grab a couple boxes. They have a money back guarntee against leaks and I love them. They are the least expensive name brands and they work great for us!

Hi Maryam

I have 2 year old twins and have been using Sam's brand diapers for as long as I can remember. They work really well. I've never had any problems with them not holding up or leaks. They are very comparible with name brand diapers expect the price is much less.
