I was wondering if some of you have used any of the scrapbooking programs you can use on the computer. Which is best, has the most variety, is most user friendly etc...
I have done some minor scrapbooking in the past and I don't like the huge expense that comes with it as well as the large amount of time it took me to do it. I have been ordering photobooks from a couple of places and love those! I just saw that there are a bunch of places that will upload your electronic scrapbook and print it for you. There are a bunch out there (adobe, photoshop etc...) and I want to get some opinions on them. If anyone has done this, please let me know! Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the tips. The scrapbooking I have done has been with Creative memories and I love it. I still think I can get great results for less money by making a digital scrapbook and having a place like "shutterfly" print it into a hardcover book. Maybe I'm wrong, but I will give it shot!

M.,

I just got into scrapbooking "part-time" about a year ago. I too was amazed at the expense and time. However ... I have found that ALL $1 stores (Everything for a Dollar - Dollar Tree, etc --- my 9 yo daughter thinks these stores are the very best for her money) have scrapbooking paper, books, stickers (2/$1.00), etc. So ... I know I have hundreds of dollars of stuff for less than $50. I have tried PhotoShop7, Adobe, Art Explosion and Kodak FunShare and more but got frustrated that after spending time learning how to use their cool tools ... the final product was never what it seemed and I was spending a fortune on INK!!! So ... now I just upload the photos to Walgreens for $.19 ... and do it myself with the cheap paper and supplies from Dollar Tree. :-) It's quicker, less frustrating and cheaper for me.

Hope this helps.

I homeschool and several parents have been raving about Scrapbook Max. I have not tried it personally. But, I'm leaning towards it. I tried to get into scrapbooking before. I bought all the supplies and just couldn't get into it. But, I'm thinking about giving this a try. The site is scrapbookmax.com .

I understand the money and time constraints, as a working mother of 3 its hard to find time and money to fit things in, but there is one thing I will spend the extra money. www.mycmsite.com/lydiagrimmett Creative memories guarantees to keep your pictures safe and protected for many many years. They meet and exceed the national standards for preserving and archiving pictures. They also offer Storybooks, which are books that you put your pictures into and write what you want in there and it comes as a 'real' book. It isn't quite what you seem to be looking for, but I thought I'd throw it out there. At the very least, the pens are phenomenal for journaling. People that have used them and survived Katrina, have said that the only journaling that made it through the hurricane was what they had done in the creative memories pens. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

I use photoshop 7.0 and get lots of free things for digital scrapping online. I haven't scrapped in a long while now ... wow you made me go back and look at my online album and I had forgotten just how much I loved to scrap! Anyhow, if you do a google search for "digital scrapbook" you will get tons of free items and even websites that you can join for free to get helpful tips, etc
