Does anyone know of someone who makes these for people? I would LOVE to get rid of some of my tubs of baby clothes that I just can't bear to part with and instead use the clothes to make a quilt that I can keep instead!!!

I have NEVER quilted and while I would love to make it myself, I don't want it to turn out poorly, so I figured I'd looking into having someone make one for me. :-)

Thanks if you can recommend anyone for me!!!

I found these web sites awhile back after I read an article about making quilts out of treasured baby clothes in one of my parenting magazines. I still want to do it, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I have a step-mother that quilts too, so I'm still hoping she'll do it for me for free! :-) GL! and let us know how it goes.

What a great idea! I don't know of anyone personally. But there is a quilt shop in McKinney that might know:

S.--this is something I have been wanting to try!!! I never thought about it when mine were little. I was thinking recently that I might have enough for a small quilt or maybe a lap throw for when I get old and sit in my rocker at the nursing home.

I'm going out of town next Sat and will be back on May 18th. If you will leave me a note about how to get back in touch when I return we can talk.

BTW I have been sewing and creating for over 50 years.. Have lost track of the number of one of a kind baby receiving blankets I have made. Have made 2 quilts. Designed and sewed all of my daughter's clothes from infancy.
