We are thinking about buying a Honda Odyssey. I was looking online and noticed they have a bunch of accessories available for purchase. Can you let me know which accessories you bought and whether or not you liked them? I am most interested in the following:

Roof Rails
Cargo Net
Cargo Tray
Cargo Mat
Cargo Organizer

Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I don't think we got anything extra...but just so you know or for anyone else reading this (probably not an issue where you live), the van is horrible in the snow. We live in the foothills where it snows frequently and I have gotten stuck so many times when it snows that we're going to have to trade it in. I love the van, love how it rides, love the sliding doors and it's great for carpooling...but the snow issue is a real problem for us.

Get the seat warmers!!!!!!!!! Even in California the seat warmers make me very happy on nippy days. The Roof rack we use to attach the extra cargo container we use on big trips. My other FAVORITE addition in the automatic back door -- every single day I say I could never go back to having to slam the trunk closed or open it with a key while my hands are full. I love my automatic doors and I used to be the person who made fun of those folks, now I am one and very grateful for it. The other day it was nasty out and coming from the market I was able to hit the automatic door openers the kids hoped in, got the groceries in the car and as I ran to my seat I was able to push the button on my key to close all the doors, I was very glad for that technology.

The rest of the features I do have and could give or take them. We got the car used with 1000 miles so didn't choose these items, they came with the car, and we wouldn't choose them again.

Good luck and enjoy - we love our Honda Odyssey. We have driven them since they first came out in the 90s, inherited another van and was very glad to return to an Odyssey.

Hi- we actually don't have an Odyssey, we have a Pilot. But I just wanted to say the rubber cargo mats are the BOMB!!!! So great, so much easier to clean and the best accessory we could have gotten. I highly recommend them...just in case I didn't make myself clear, hee hee.

We love our Odyssey. We got the Cargo Mat. Very useful that you can keep your carpet clean especially when you may need the car to have costco run etc...haahhah

We love our 2010 Odyssey! Ours came with the roof rails ... they make the van look nice, but can't speak to how they perform, as we haven't had to use them. We did purchase the door edge guards (especially for the front doors); they help a lot in parking lots and the garage (so I don't scratch my husband's car doors). Highly recommend them. As for the ones you specifically asked about ...

We have the Cargo Mat and Cargo Tray. We ordered the mat, but the dealership messed up and ordered the tray instead. The service guy was great and told us to keep the tray and then gave us the mat too! Both are great ... the mat helps to protect the carpet and the third row of seats from things like the dirty wheels of the stroller. Since we primarily use the second row of seats, the mat gets the most use, but the folding seats still fit in the cargo area with the tray in. When we put up the 1/3 seat of the third row, we just fold the mat over. If we need all the seats up for some reason, we just take the mat and put it in the tray. Tray is great ... the Graco stroller will stand up in the tray with no problem and still leaves plenty of room for my "collection" of reusable shopping bag to sit next to it. All in all, I really like them both and am happy we have them. As for the cargo net ... we bought a less expensive one on-line (I think), but we never use it. And the cargo organizer looks neat, but I think it could be limiting in how you may need to rearrange things from time to time.

I also HIGHLY recommend the hitch ... we don't tow much, but with the hitch, you can have a bike rack or one of those extender trays. Not sure how we would have gotten to the beach with my niece's bike and all the stuff we needed for our (then) 7 month old without the hitch. I know it seems crazy to have Honda install it for you, but because they have to do some changes to the transmission for hauling, it really is worth the extra money in the long run to make sure your van is safe for towing.

I have NEVER used my roof rack-and I have had the van over 5 years. the net I use whenever we have a road trip/luggage.

I don't have the organizer-but, from the sound of it, it's a good idea. I end up w/ a big pile in the back, jackets, groceries, school projects...

I don't know what the tray or the mat are.
