We are relocating to the Omaha area this summer. I am looking for a good pre-k program for my daughter. I would prefer a school in the SW Omaha area. Any recommendations? Any places to avoid? I would appreciate any information. Thanks to all! :)

What can I do next?

I recommend Love and Learn Christian Development Center. The staff seem to be well trained and provide you with daily sheets on how your child did that day.
They are connected to Faith Westwood United Methodist Church. It is close to 128th and L St.

Little Lamb at the Luthern church is GREAT! My son who is now 18 attended. Im glad to hear it still gets rave reviews.

As for Millard Public schools they arent all they are touted to be. Not the worst by far but before putting kids in before they have to be with the prek program I would check out other alternatives.

I have an accumulated 26yrs exp with MPS and I would choose differently if I had to do it again.

I have 2 recommendations. If you are looking for a church-based program, I have nothing but good things to say about Little Lamb Preschool at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church on 150th & Q. Our oldest just finished preschool there in May, and our 2nd child will start in the fall. We do not attend church there, so that is not a concern. A second thing to think about, if you are in the Millard Public School District, is the new Childhood Development Center that Millard is opening in the fall. I have had friends check into the program and they've seemed impressed. Good luck, and welcome to Omaha!

Both of my children have gone to Imagination Station at 180th and Pacific (my daughter still does). We love it there, and have always been very happy! The director and staff are wonderful!

My daughter and some of my friends send our kids to the Gingerbread House. The teachers are all experienced and we've been really happy there. It's located at 156th and Center (Bob Boozer Dr.). I'm sure there are a lot of other great schools, but we've been extremely happy with the choice that we've made. Good luck!
