I had my daughter (2nd child) 10 mos ago and my doctor completely messed up my c-section and made the decision without mine or my husbands consent. I now have a new doctor and he said my uterus is fine and would be perfectly capable of carrying another baby. My question is has anyone been able to get pregnant after having a tubal? I read all kind of articles about women who have but I would like to hear any of your stories!

What can I do next?

I'm not sure if you mean a tubal(ectopic) pregnancy or Tubal ligation but the answer would be yes to both.

in regards to Tubal ligation, i had mine reversed less than a year ago. Many women get pregnant, but it is not without complications, I've miscarried twice since march, both early in the first trimester. BUT neither had anything to do with my tubes functioning properly. I have a lot of great resources in regards to this if you want to message me directly.

if the uturus is ok go for it..the dr will have to insert the fertilized egg into the uturus but there is nothing to worry about as long as you have no complications
ask your dr about this..

I can't answer your question, because my doc won't touch me as far a "tieing my tubes" because I cry everytime we try to talk about it... any hesitation means he won't do it and it's noted in the cart so that no one in his office will either. He has told me it's expensive to reverse and chances of getting pergnant aren't good after one. That if you do have one your better off paying for artifical insemination then reversal. That is why he won't do the procedure if the patient shows any hesitation.

But I will say that if your doc "tied your tubes" without you concent (written) then he didn't just mess up the c-section, but he really messed up by making a decision for you. It is your body & only your decision on what happens to it... yes your hubby may have a say, but you are the only one that can give the written permition to "tie your tubes". I think it's the doc's responsiblity to pay for any expences that you have to pay out for HIS HUGE MISTAKE!

I wish you luck!

Sounds like you meant you had a tubal ligation? I had one after an ectopic - after loosing a left tube and ovary - 3 healthy pregnancies . But not after the tubal ligation

Hi.... At age 21 I decided that I did not want anymore children with my then husband. We had 3 children, that at the time we couldn't afford. I knew if I didn't take action then we would end up having more children that we just couldn't afford. Anyhow, I had a tubal ligation the day after my 3rd child was born. That was July 29th 1991. In 1997 I divorced my older children's father and met my current husband. He had 1 daughter with his previous marriage. So that gave us 3 daughter's and 1 son. I always wanted more children but never thought it would become reality. Well.... I had my tubes reversed in Dec of 2002 and we now have 3 beautiful children together. The odds of us having the 1st one was 34% and it decreased from there. Our first was born Nov of 2003, the 2nd April of 2005 and our little surprise Aug of 2008. I carried all 3 pregnancies without complications. Sorry I got carried away but I love knowing I beat the odds =)
GOOD LUCK!!!
