So, I got my period in the middle of March. Lasted 6-7 days then went away, then my boyfriend and I had sex. About 3 days later, I ended up getting a bladder infection, and towards the end of it, I got my period again. It also lasted 5-6 days. It ended before the 30th of March. I remember this because the first day of fishing in PA was the 31st. April came, and I didn't get a period. And now it's the 1st of May, and still nothing. Yes, my boyfriend and I have unprotected sex. I was on the pill but stopped because my prescription ran out. (Nothing to do with money) So I've been without it for about 3, going on 4 months. I have been feeling nauseous and getting headaches. Not cramp-y. But tired. Kind of the same symptoms I get when I'm about to get my period, but it's not there. I took 2 pregnancy tests. One at night and one in the morning and they were both negative.. They were also a store brand. I just need input on what I should do... As far as a blood test is concerned.. My boyfriend said to wait.. But I want to know more than not.

What can I do next?

One consideration I haven't seen mentioned yet is the possibility of having caught a STI/STD. Gonnorhea symptoms for women are sometimes mistaken as a bladder infection according to the CDC. When you get to the doctor, ask for a full STD workup, including HSV (which may not be included if you don't ask), along with the pregnancy test you're worried about. So, yes, I agree...stop having unprotected sex, it isn't just about pregnancy anymore!

I suggest if you don't want to become pregnant you stop having unprotected sex!

Nothing else you can do besides wait it out or go see a doctor.

Fact: Store brands work just fine.
Fact: I bled for an entire week when I was pregnant with my second child, so having what seemed like a period is not conclusive.
Fact: We aren't doctors and have no crystal balls.
so...
please go see your doctor. You aren't really all that late. Depending on your timeline, you may have tested too early. If you ARE pregnant, you need prenatal care. If you are NOT pregnant, you need to find out why you aren't getting your period.
My input on what you should do -- go to the doctor. Oh, and STOP HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX! Fill your prescription and use your head.

ETA: Yes, she seems to have spammed all of us with the same defensive rant about not judging her. Honey, I didn't judge you. Read my post. I answered your ____@____.com question. Shouldn't have wasted my time. If you just wanted sunshine blown up your skirt, find a different forum.

1. Stop having unprotected sex!

2. Yes, you may be pregnant. And you may not. Your body might be messed up because you had some breakthrough bleeding in late March.

3. Make an appointment with your doctor. Get a blood test, which is the sure-fire way to tell if you're pregnant.

4. If it comes back negative, STOP HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX!

ETA: Are you kidding me? You sent me a private message claiming I'm judging you and trying to justify that you don't want to spend $50 a month to buy birth control, so you're just going to wing it, and angry that people are calling you immature? Really?

WELCOME TO MAMAPEDIA!!!!

I don't know how old you are. But I will tell you this - NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE!!! STOP. HAVING. UNPROTECTED. SEX.

If you aren't responsible enough to refill your prescription, you aren't responsible enough to raise a child.

here's what I think. STOP. HAVING. UNPROTECTED. SEX.

Get an education.
Make sure you have a career or some way of providing for yourself and a child.
Go to the doctor and get a blood test.
STOP. HAVING. UNPROTECTED. SEX.

It doesn't matter if it's a store brand. you have had unprotected sex. You MIGHT be pregnant. I don't know. Go to a doctor and get a blood test. While there, get your birth control prescription refilled. Even with birth control pills, you should NOT be having unprotected sex.

Good luck!

The odds are pretty good that you are not pregnant. Tests typically do not have "false negatives". Having said that... condoms don't require a prescription- apparently neither does Plan B anymore. Yes, I'm lecturing you, but honestly... your prescription ran out isn't an excuse to get pregnant.

Unprotected sex = Yes you could be pregnant

If you happen to not be pregnant with this little scare and you don't want to be pregnant....... then make sure you use birth control when you have sex.

ETA: There is NO reason NOT to get your birth control pills refill. After all, the pill is FREE now. What's the holdup?

ETA2: So how many of you got the private PM from this poster about how successful she is in her life but chose to "go with the flow" vs pay $50 a month for the pill which has been FREE since January? Just curious if I am the only one chosen for the PM rant.

Christy Lee.... I got the same PM obviously. Real responsible, huh!

Do you want a baby? If not, then OBVIOUSLY you should get back on the pill or use a condom. You could very likely be pregnant. Wait a few days, and test again. If you are not pregnant, please stop being so immature and irresponsible. If you are old enough to be an an adult, sexual relationship...you are old enough to act like an adult. Use protection.

Of course you could be pregnant. All you can do is wait and take a test in a few more days. About the tests. Doesn't matter what brand they are. The Dollar Tree tests are good and they only cost a $1

They're more accurate if you take the test with your first pee in the morning.

It's also possible that your period schedule is messed up. You had two periods in quick succession and now your body is waiting for another one.

However, if you don't want to be pregnant and if it's not too late, use birth control. If you can't afford to get the prescription refilled, go to Planned Parenthood. They will help you. Even condoms would be better than no protection at all.

If you have a negative test this late you are probably not pregnant.
I hope you know that antibiotics can render birth control pills non effective.

Why have you not renewed your birth control pills? If its the cost, think how much more a baby would cost.

Take this time to take look at what would be the result of an unwanted pregnancy.

Fair warning... having sex and not using protection means you can get pregnant. Actually, having sex even with using protection means you CAN get pregnant.

So... what exactly is your question.. I didn't notice one.

If you are wondering how to get your 3 year old out of your bed after you didn't want to do CIO and co-sleeping was great, until it wasn't... there are lots of posts that pose that exact question. Oh wait... you have to get past the "am I pregnant" and "am I in labor" questions first...

are you trying to get pregnant? Because if your not on birth control and still actuve thats essentially trying. is your reason for stopping the pill to try and see what happens? this sounds worrisome...are you ok with having a kid out of wedlock on purpose? do you want to be a single mom? some people do...i cant tell how old you are but if you are a teen this is a very dangerious game your playing and its only a matter of time before you are.

Store brands and expensive brands work the same there is no difference. I think at this point you would get a positive result if you were pregnant since you period is a couple days late. You can wait a week and take another test or you can go to the Dr. and request a blood test.
