Pre-School Search in Elk Grove

Do you need a preschool in EG or are you open to downtown? We had both our daughters at Hand In Hand over the last few years. LOVE it! They have an impeccable reputation, lots of repeat/sibling enrollees & VERY low teacher turnover. All the teachers are what I call "lifers" & have higher education in child development. They have a true vested interest in your child's development & happiness. And they're not a chain. ###-###-#### if you want to check it out. If that's too far, you can call them & ask for a referral. I've been very happy with Peace Preschool. It's a Christian based preschool taught at a Presbytarian church. It's just basic Christian values for any Christian religion though. Not just Presbytarian. We've been there 2 years and are headed in to 3. They have classes for all ages from 2 up to 5. They have morning and afternoon options and they are afordable. They even have a Mommy and Me class once a week for the younger ones.

I know several people who love the preschool at First Baptist Church in Elk Grove. I have been told it is one of the best! The only downside is the hours are from 9-2, so have to have a flexible schedule for drop off and pick up time. If you want to drive a little further I have also heard good things about Capital Christian Preschool located at Hwy 50 and Bradshaw. I actually teach at the elementary school and the teachers in the preschool are all very kind and sweet ladies!

I am not sure what you mean when you say "academic" pre-school. Are you just differentiating between pre-school and daycare? My daughter goes to the CSD preschool program in Elk Grove, which we love. My daughter has made lots of nice friends, she loves her teachers, they do tons of projects, and they get homework for the letters they are working on at the time.
