I would like to know if there is anyone who has or know someone with a phonic program that they would like to give away or sell cheap. I have an 8 yr old daughter who is having problems with reading, She has to go to summer school or stay in the 2nd grade, I have set her up with a tutor starting in June but I would also like to help. I would appreciate any help.

I used starfall.com for my 2 kids who were both behind in reading. They loved it - thought it was a game & their reading improved by at least a grade level in less than 2 months. I also love time4learning.com, however it is approx $20 per month, but it is VERY worth the money in my opinion.

Good luck!!

You may try contacting Scottish Rite. They have a trainig program for teachers- mutli-sensory reading and spelling (some school districs call it MTA or MR&S). Thye may be able to offer some advice or resources.
Good luck.

I know this sounds a bit basic but you could try getting her the Leap Frog movies. There are 4 of them about reading ( and one about numbers). They might help her relearn the basics. I really think they are part of why my 6 y/o is reading so well. When he was 3 he would watch them over and over. He still likes to watch them sometimes so they aren't babyish. It is smart of you to get her help now. Good job and Good Luck.

If you are looking to BUY a phonics program maybe you try craigslist.com. This website sells a lot of different stuff.
