Pediatrician Lakeville/burnsville Area

Wow! My son also sees Dr. Mitha at Southdale Peds & we love her. He had RSV as a 2 month old & she has helped us deal with the resulting issues for the past 3+ years.

Honestly, I went through 3 docs at Southdale Peds before finding her & I'm glad I stuck with it. I've managed to find a couple of good ones that will actually sit & listen to you until you're finished talking - not leave when they're finished hearing you talk. I had a horrible experience with the first 2 - one told me I was killing my son because I was breastfeeding him & he was losing weight (we saw Dr. Mitha too late - my nursing relationship was ruined thanks to Dr. Idiot.), another said they were doing a bilirubin test because he was jaundiced & never came back to talk to us about what that meant or to answer any questions. I definitely know there are "duds" there, so I totally feel your pain.

There are good doctors there! :) I'm not sure who you saw, but maybe it was one of the ones with an "interesting" bedside manner. Dr. Mitha is amazing, Dr. Nicholson is terrific... Both ladies have called our home on their own time to follow-up on Chase after a big illness to see if he was okay & to check on us!

sorry you haven't had a good experience there. i don't know of any others in the area that aren't at southdale peds. i hope you find some good recommendations!

I live in Lakeville and we've always used Park Nicollet in Burnsville. My daughter's pediatrician is Dr Earles, but we've also seen a few others - Dr Bhargava is another we like if our regular isn't available. We haven't had any serious problems and my mom, stepmom and day care provider are all medical bakcgrounds so I usually have an idea of what I need to ask. My son also sees Dr Mitha, and we love her. She always has so much patience, and seems to care much more than any other Dr we have had. We just switched to there a little over a year ago after going to Quello for years. I had gone to Quello forever and had nothing to compare to, but now that I do I will never go back there! I have also heard that Park Nicollet has great Pediatricians, I was a nanny for a family who used them. They were very happy there. I now go to Park Nicollet for myself, and have been happy too. But Southdale has been so great every time we have been there, that he will be staying there until he is an adult.

We go to Metro Peds in Burnsville. We see Dr. Clark but all of the dr's there are good. They also have Saturday hrs in Edina and Sunday hrs in Burnsville. Heather is now 2 years old and I still love her. Very knowledgeable. Good-luck in your search.

I LOVE our Dr (family practice so the whole family uses him and he delivered my son). I'm not one much for bouncing around with several dr in one practice. I grew up with just one. But Dr. Rober Lerher came highly recommended to me when I moved here. He is the greatest with a wonderful deminer to him. He's located in Prior Lake. Good luck
