Hi J.,
I am not sure where you are located but there is a great place in Brooklyn that opened not to long ago at Floyd Bennet Field called the Aviator...www.aviatorsports.com.
I am actually having my 10 year old son's party there this April. I hope this was helpful and good luck.

My older daughter turned 10 last April, and I went through the same thing with her, not knowing what kind of party she wanted. After weeks of phone calls and flipping through the parent guide for ideas, I finally decided to have it at the YMCA in Hackensack. I rented the pool and lobby for about 3 hours and it only cost me about $100-$200 (I dont remember the exact amount). I even was given a free lifeguard. The parties are on Saturday evenings only, and the Y is shut down, so u have the whole bottom floor to yourselves, u just have to bring your own food, decorations and clean up at the end. We ordered pizza, brought a cake & decorated & all her friends are still talking about it.

Hi My stepson who is 9 goes to a lot of partys at Funplex on Rt 10 in East Hanover. He loves going there. There is also another place that I heard of called Fun Time Junction that I heard is a great place (I think it is in the Fairfield area). Also you could try a rollerskating party or ice skateing. There is a roller rink in Florham Park and a ice skating rink in West Orange. I hope this helps.

If she is a girlie girl, a children's tea party would be really cute! You could ask a local tea house or I know there are also places that will bring a tea party to your home.
HTH!

Hi J.:

How about celebrating her birthday at a nearby Ice Skating Rink? Most of them offer party services/pkgs. I celebrated my daughter's birthday at the Palisades Mall (www.palice.com so you get an idea) and they all had so much fun. Piece of cake a reasonable price.
