Hi Hannah! I am a stay at home mom of two boys, ages 3 and 4. There is a great park if you go west on coal mine, past simms, and turn right on Van Gordon. There is a park for bigger kids, and a seperate one for smaller kids. There is a lake too, where we like to take walks. Good luck with your first baby! what hospital are you delivering at? J.

I am new to Castle Rock and have been 2 times to the Littleton Historical Museum. It is free and a great place for kids or moms to just walk around, especially on a nice day. There is a farm and historical cabins etc... dating back to the 1860's. Also a lake to walk around. Toddlers love the ducks and geese and farm animals and there are usually other moms and kids there.
Across the street from the museum is a great park too.
If you have not been there, I can let you know where it is.

Check out meetup.com. It is a free website that allows you to join mommy groups/playgroups in your area. Organizers plan all the events and you RSVP online if you'll be there or not. I am a member and love it. My son has met some great playmates, as have I.

I love the new Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch Town Center. It's right next to the library too so there are story times if the kids need a break from the heat in the summer-- and there are jumping water that even if your baby isn't participating, it's fun to watch and all the mom's are sitting down there. There is also free evening entertainment and easy walking access to Jamba Juice, Cold Stone, Fat Burger, Tattered Cover, etc. I spent lots of time there during the week when I used to be home. Now we just go on weekends but there were always lots of moms!
