I had my baby almost 7 months ago and a D&C was performed right after. Ever since then, I have been dealing with a discharge to where I have to wear a panty liner every day. They doctors have done ultrasounds and tests to make sure it is not an infection. All the test came back negative for infection. Now the doctor think there a hole in my bladder that is leaking into my vagina. Anyone out there have or had this problem that may be able to give me some insite on this.

What can I do next?

J.,

I am so sorry to hear about your situation. Have you consulted with a urogynecologist? I would get a bladder specialist involved if you haven't already. I hope that you get this all sorted out soon. Sorry I can't offer much...I will be praying for you..

Have you asked for a referral to a urologist? If you do have a fistula a urologist should be the one dealing with it..

Can you tell if it is urine that is being discharged? Do they suspect it is related to the D&C?

Good luck.. I am sure it can be repaired whatever it is...When you get tob e my age wearing a pad all the time is not so unusual, although a real nuisance.

I agree w/the previous response... ask for a a refferal to a specialist. You didn't say what the dr. advised to do other than what he 'thought' the problem is. I say, be your own strongest advocate, push for a firm diagnosis & a strategy to repair the problem. Best of luck!

Can't they take the panty liner and figure out what the stuff is? Obviously it's something -- keep pushing them.
