so we're not going to a deserted island but we are going camping so my question is......if you could only take one game for you and your 6 year old to play around the campfire at night what would it be????

I think the card games are great. I would also consider a dry erase board and markers. You can play tic tac toe, hangman, pictionary, etc.

Take a deck of cards-so many different games to play. Go Fish, Crazy 8s, Spoons, War, Old Maid etc.

Ohhhhh, good question! Take a deck of regular playing cards. There are a million different games you can teach him to play with just regular playing cards. Look some up online if you're drawing a blank. Playing cards also help with number concepts; the more they do it, the more comfortable they become with it.
