RV trip, family of 4 including 2 teenage boys. Need a card game? Dice game? We won't have much room in our luggage to dedicate to board games but was anxious to see if there might be something you can think of that we can't. Thank you!!

What can I do next?

Set is a fun card game. You put out 9 cards and have to find a set of three. It is really challenging, but I find kids are much better at the game than I am.

Pass the Pigs was a game we played a lot with my cousins when we were teens. It's kind of like a dice game, but the dice are pigs. Lots of laughs!

Bananagrams is a word game where each player builds their own crossword puzzle.

Skip-Bo is similar to Uno, but involves more strategy.

uno, bananagrams, backgammon, crazy 8s.
if space is an issue, most of 'em can be played on handheld systems. i'm such a dinosaur, i'm not even sure what the kids are using today. i still have an old gameboy color that i take with me on plane trips to play backgammon.

There are many different card games here is a small list.

If you are staying at a camp ground (like a KOA), they will usually offer different activities for guests. You can also sit by a camp fire and enjoy nature.

My daughter loves Uno so we always have those cards with us.

All the suggestions below are good. Remember that if you take a board game out of it's box, most games have a flat game board and all the rest of the pieces can fit into a small ziploc bag, so they really don't take up that much room. We have traveled with games like Sorry, Yahtzee, Trivial Pursuit, and many others.

For card games, I like poker, gin, and cribbage - you can learn them all pretty easily online.

I feel so very old suggesting it... but here, when we have SO many other options, scrabble remains a game we play at all holidays when kiddos are gathered.
Trivial pursuit is another, although we usually just use the cards without playing the game.
And a deck of cards...SOO many games. I just wish one of them would play bridge!! (I wish I could get anyone to play bridge!!).

Best luck!
Have a great trip!

We make up, "Would you rather" questions. "Would you rather go without showering for a year or go without brushing your teeth for a year?" "Would you rather have a mansion infested with roaches or a small apartment with noisy neighbor's?" "Would you rather have to eat only twinkies for a year or one worm/beetle/roach every month for a year?"

My kids aren't teens yet - but my husband and I also enjoy to play the game of finding as many states on license plates as we can. That doesn't require anything other than a sheet of paper - or even a note pad on your smart phone.

We like uno a lot too. Farkle is another family fav and you only need 5 dice and paper/pen. Do you now how to play Ucker? Its a 4 person card game. with older kiddos, they might like that or diff types of poker too, like 21 with nickels or something.

if you're in an RV - you're gonna have room. My dad has a 40'er with 3 pull outs. there's LOTS of storage!!

Cards are great!
Mancala is a GREAT game - strategy and doesn't take up a lot of room
Yahtzee

this is for evenings after a day on the road and sight seeing, yes?

During travel? I would suggest cards - as long as the windows won't be open. Nothing that has pieces because bumps happen!!

We've played travel yahtzee before -this is the one we use

have fun!!

My husband is a HUGE board/card game collector. Some of our family's small box games are:
Sushi Go!
Cheaty Mages
Dragonwood (cards and dice)
Best Treehouse Ever
Pina Pirata
Fairy Tale

When in doubt a simple deck of cards and a set of cube dice (10) and look online for games.

A couple decks of cards could keep them happy for hours, and if you will have internet access, they can look up the rules for new games. If they enjoy word games, there's a cross word game out there. It consists of a cup with dice with letters on them that you roll and then try to make words connected together cross-word style. Each person tries to get the most points from their roll. It's pretty addictive and extremely portable.
