Hi J.,
I am a partyLite Consultant, and we do a baby Shower Candle show. I bring all the games and prizes. Couples care ideal, because they can pick out something for themselves and nice relaxing candles and cute new home decor. Since there is 8 couples, we can play boys against the girls "how much I know you trivia" and other fun games. Most men really like candles, and it is not "Girlie". You can still do a baby gift exchange. Let me know, I would be glad to come and be your consultant

I loved this one...

take newborn diapers, melt a little of candybars in them and make the party guess which candy it is - hilarious watching people stick their noses in the diaper to smell them! LOL

need: pencil & sheet of paper they can number 1-10 or so, diapers & candybars. Melt them just before handing them out, 3-4 diapers in the microwave at a time to speed it up.

Have a baby bottle drinking contest for the men...be sure they wear a bib for this! LOL

You could also have a baby dressing contest. put peanutbutter or some other sticky mess on dolls bottom, dress in diaper, baby clothes & shoes. Contest would be to undress, wash, diaper & re-dress - 1 hand from each parent tied behind back.

Have fun!

Hi J., Both my family & friends threw me "Jack&Jill" baby showers. For my family baby shower, we played baby bingo & a raffle for anyone who brought diapers. For my friend baby shower, we played a great baby food tasting game. All the men were blind folded and the women fed them baby food. The men had to guess what the flavors were--it was hilarious. They also played a baby bottle drinking race. The men had beer put into the bottles and they raced to see who could drink it the quickest. Also, whenever anyone arrived to the house, they had a nursery rhyme character pinned to their back. They had to talk to other people and ask questions to try and figure out which character they were. Hope these give you some ideas. Have fun!

Are you planning on kids being present? If so, they can be your "Official Judges" for a few activities. 3 that I have done at showers that were great for men and women are as follow:

Each person is given a piece of Hubba Bubba gum. (UNCHEWED) they shape the gum into a "baby". The best baby wins!

Each person is handed one sheet of heavy paper (like construction paper). Instcur them to put the paper behind their back and tear iinto the shape of a baby. Again- best baby wins.

Each person is given a paper plate and a pencil. Instruct them to place the plate on top of their head and draw a baby. Can you guess who wins?? LOL

Other Ideas:
Men vs. Women "get the baby ready" relay. You can either use a doll for each team and have each person undress, rediaper, dress and buckle in car seat or ...
(THE ONE THAT IS HALLARIUS TO VIDEO TAPE) Each team chooses a "baby" FROM their team. The baby gets a clean "diaper" (large piece of white cloth) pinned over cloths, is fed a bottle (juice or water are safest considering possible allergies), is fed a jar of baby food with a baby spoon (Go gross for the boys, like spinach or green beans, and sweet like apple sauce or banana for the girls! LOL Or you could be nice and both teams get apple sauce.) and last but not least, is "swaddled and put to sleep (Cal king sheet). The men are hystrical to watch! Though, the women are pretty funny too. You and your guest will be laughing so hard that all you pg ladies will need to be wearing pads- JUST IN CASE! lol

You can have each lady write 5 things that "only my husband knows...." and test the men to see if they get it right.Give them each a set of index card with all the ladies names written down. Have one lady read each answer (the same lady for the whole game) and have the hubbies hold up which one they believe said it. Hubbies score 1 pt for each right answer, 2 points if it's their own wife, and 2 EXTRA points if they are the only one to get it right.

You could also play non-baby games like Taboo or catch phase. Making it a pot-luck will take presure off the "What's the menu" part. Perhaps even a "Bring your own meat" BBQ. Everybody brings the meat they want to cook and a side to share.

Have fun!

for my friend's co-ed party, we did a pregnancy & baby care jeopardy like game. your couples could team together. if you're a celeb-gossip loving group, you could try a game we called "who's your daddy?" where people had to pair up the celeb parent to the celeb baby. a spin on this game would be to have people choose the correct celeb baby name but of course, you'd use the ones that are unusual - apple, coco, ...

have fun!
