I will be moving to Burbank in about 3 weeks. Can anyone recommend an OB/GYN who is in a small or solo practice? Also any pediatricians that you love?

Dr. David Newfield was my gynecologist for many years til my health insurance changed and I could no longer see him. I really missed him when I finally got pregnant and had my son. He was always so thorough and understanding. I never felt rushed with him. He's still in Burbank and Has privileges at St. Joseph's. My son's pediatrician is simply wonderful! She's also in Burbank. Her name is Lauren Lubin. Terrific with kids. Her oFice has 3 pediatricians who are all great women. Good luck.

Burbank is a great place to live, but not so great for having a baby! There's a good doctor there, but the problem is the hospital -- St. Joseph's is not very birth friendly :( You might see if Dr. Pearson has privileges at Huntington Memorial in Pasadena, which is much more birth friendly :)

My OB was DR. Red Alinsod. He was wonderful. I was with Facey Medical and he left to open his own practice. He is by St Josephs hospital on Buena Vista in Burbank. Iwould still be going to him but I dont have insurance anymore. He is a specialist and a really great guy. Feel free to tell him I sent you.

Dr. David Newfield... Not only is he great but so is his staff.
I've never waited more than 40 minutes to see him. My prior OB's office
(forgot his name) I've waited 3hrs for a scheduled appointment.
For a peditrician I recommned Dr Shammas... she's great.
