New to North Hollywood Looking for OB/GYN & Pediatrician

Hi H.. I got many responses here about one particular pediatrician everyone loves in Burbank. There are 3 female docs in the practice. The recommended one was Dr. Lubin but she wasn't available so I saw Dr. Whang and loved her. I saw Dr. Lubin the following time and prefer Dr. Whang. A friend of mine saw the third one, can't remember her name, but she really liked her too. The name of the practice is Lakeside Medical Center at 191 S. Buena Vista, suite 240. Number is ###-###-####. It's across the street from St. Joseph's hospital, near Disney studio so it's not deep into Burbank. The office and exam rooms are very clean and cute, which is something I always notice. Good luck!

My son is 8 months and I had my care with DR Shirley Chan. She is the best. I really liked her. She is very busy but very personable and caring. Our pediatrician was DR Germaine Green. I loved her and still do. Unfortunately our ins changed and I cant see her anymore. My son had a lot of issues when he was born and she helped us get through all of it. She is very professional, warm and also caring. However if the front office is stll the same...they suck the big one..sorry. The receptionist who answers is just too darn rude and cold. The head nurse barely says hi and has her blatant favorites. The doctors is very, very busy. The Dr Green is very popular. I know she has a partnership with 2 other peds. One is a rather younger Asian doctor, I forgot his name but we had to see him a couple times and he was excellent. H. this helps...Good Luck!

I'm a childbirth educator and doula and recently had Dr. White in one of my classes. I think she is a great choice for an OB if you are at Kaiser.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr Fredrick Kohn in Tarzana. He has been my doctor for the birth of my son 2 and a half years ago and mt twins 1 month ago. VERY calm, gentle, listens to you, easily reached and always calls you back. Office is not a factory and have actually switched health insurance so I can stay with him. I am a nurse and asked a LOT of labor and delivery nurses for their favorites and he always came up in the top 2. He delivers at Providence Tarzana and Northridge. Both my deliveries were at Tarzana and I also have only GREAT things to say about them. I work at Kaiser Woodland Hills and love it there but all my co-workers have complained about the OB set-up and labor and delivery process.
For pediatricians I reccommend Dr Martin Feinberg but he is out here in Woodland Hills/ West hills area which is probably too far for you.

My son is 9 1/2 months old and has been a patient of Dr. Germaine Green since his birth. She is the BEST and extremely helpful and patient. She takes as much time as I need during any office visit or phone call. I feel very fortunate to have her as our peditrician.

I delivered my son at Glendale Memorial. She is located directly across the street from the hospital, which was helpful and convenient. We were introduced to her by my OB/GYN who is also located in the same building as her. His name is Dr. Ignacio Valdes. I also highly recommend him. He gave me excellent care throughout my entire pregnancy and labor/delivery. I experienced some unexpected complications after my delivery, and the care that I received from Dr. Valdes and the entire hospital staff was amazing. Great hospital to go through all that with. I ended up in ICU after delivery, while my husband spent the first 28 hours with my newborn son in my postpardum room on the maternity floor. The entire hospital staff was so accomodating and caring during our unusual experience.

I don't know any of the OB's but we go to Valley Pediatrics on 5353 Balboa just next to the 101 freeway in Encino so it's easy to get to. It is a little further than you wanted but the doctors are wonderful. There are about 8 doctors in the practice. You can have one as your primary doctor for physicals and you see whoever is available for sickness/emergencies. They also have Saturday hours.
