Congratulations!
The best morning sickness tip I have I got off this site a few years ago. If you can, drink hot choclate - it doesn't taste bad when it comes back up. Gross, I know - but honestly, that has gotten my through 2 pregnancies!

I got ginger tablets from a vitamin store and my doctor said they were perfectly safe. I also found that Coke or Pepsi worked really well for me at calming my stomach. My sister swore by the motion sickness bands that go around you wrist.

leave a couple of saltines by your bed and before you even lift your head in the morning choke a couple down. Keep busy and try to distract yourself.

Yuke sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I had it with my son and the only thing that helped me was cracker and a few sips of Sprite. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I agree w/Patty, eat some saltines before you even lift your head. It helped me at least get out of bed. I then ate toast so I could stand walking around getting dressed. Brushing my teeth was my next step. No true get-around to that, but the saltines and toast helped. I kept saltines and animal crackers with me everywhere I went, and took chewable ginger tablets during the day and at night. I found them at Whole Foods in the vitamin section. They also had ginger lollipops and hard candies that my OB said where okay too. Good luck to you! I had morning sickness all day every day until I was about 5 months pregnant. It's hard, but soooo worth it in the end!

I would drink water or tea with lemon. or ginger tea. Also, if your taking your prenatals in the morning, try taking them at night before bed this helped me.

Ask your OB about vitamin B tablets. I never pursued it, but my friend was prescribed them and they helped her a ton. She told me that they do not work for everyone, but its definitely worth a shot!!

This is what I did to keep mine at bay... stay away from acidic things like lemonade or grapefruit juice, and eat 5 small meals instead of the normal three...the nausea seems to be brought on by an empty stomach, and I found that by always having my stomach working on something totally helped me. I loved drinking carbonated water, seltzer water not club soda, club soda has added salt. I kept a sleeve of saltines on my nightstand so I could munch a few before walking around when I woke up and that always helped. Gingerale is always an option. Good luck...it will probably subside a bit for you in a few weeks, but if not, you will figure out how to best combat it.

I was battling with severe morning sickness and nausea but nothing was helpful to ease me unless I started taking No to morning sickness tea. It ended up my sickness within no time with no side effects.

Heather:
So sorry you are having this problem.
Shaklee makes a stomach soothing complex with ginger and peppermint. You can swallow them or make them into a tea. They also have the best B complex. You can check that out at http://www.shaklee.net/healthforlife.
Also, a friend of mine said that if she held a nectarine up to her face and smelled it it would take the nausea away for hours.
Hope you find something that helps. Be sure and stay hydrated.

Try some ginger tea (they sell non-caffinated tea). Also, try to eat protein every 2 hours or so, both were suggested by my midwife. Congrats!

Sea-bands helped me for a couple of weeks. You can purchase them at Wal-Mart. http://www.sea-band.com/

My aunt sent me an aromatherapy product called Quease Ease and it has been helpful.

Ice cold drinks also help me. My favorite is half lemonade, half decaf unsweet tea.

I also eat little meals throughout the day.

Try ginger. Ginger tea, candy, root, etc. Also peppermints. Suck on some peppermint candy or tea.
