I am looking for a fantastic dentist near the Glenview area. I want the office to be extremely kid friendly, not only when kids are the patient, but also when they need to tag along to mom's appointment! I want a dentist who listens and is honest, who you feel good about in general, with a great staff! My insurance is very limiting, so please send all referals, I will probably need a lot to choose from in order to find a provider! Thanks in advance!

Hello - you can try Dr. Gary Alberts in Northbrook (847-27-BRUSH) The staff in his office are wonderful - my kids like to go to appt. that I have just to hang out with Susie (who works at the front desk). I have used this practice for about 15 years....no complaints! Good luck.

We have used Dr. Mike Nolan's office for about 7 years now and they love my kids, I always have my my kids with me when I need to go and they are very nice about it all. Lately I have been seeing dr. Erik and I think I may even like him better than dr mike but they are both super nice.

If you're willing to drive to Northbrook (Dundee and Sanders), Dr. Mark Jacob is amazing. The office is kid friendly, and I have no problem bringing my now 4 year old daughter to my appointments. He has a great disposition with the kids (and with adults too!), toys to play with, a 'treasure chest', and a toy to show the little ones what he's going to look at in their mouths. Highly recommend him! Good luck in your search! :)

Can't say enough about Dr. Nancy Hijawi - 2601 Compass Rd. #105 Glenview - - ###-###-####.

Their office is state-of-the-art, brand new with TV's at each chair, star lights on the ceiling, a pint size potty in the bathroom, 10 flavors of fluoride, lots of toy/goody bags (including princess toothbrushes!) but most of all a gentle, loving dentistry method! She has had great advice about brushing, nutrition, helping stop thumb-sucking, etc.

On the first visit their only goal is to have your child sit in the chair. They might "count teeth" but they just pace it as your child needs. LOVE THEM.

My 4-year old has even given up sticky candies and things "Dr. Nancy wouldn't like" and - not kidding - asks "please, when we can go back?"

B., my dentist is in Chicago on the north side. My sons have been going there since they were 6 and 3, now 25 and 22. It is a small two person office. F. Robert Wilkin, DDS, 2335 W. Foster, Chicago 60625; ###-###-####. Good luck. I think they are great! They have early morning hours including Saturdays; I've lost track of which days they are in the office.

Colonial Dental in Glenview (just west of Glenview and Waukegan intersection) is the dental practice I have used for 14 years. All three of my children, myself and my husband and my parents all see Dr. Quezada. I can recommend him highly: very kind and sincere, professional and timely. I have been able to get in when emergencies occur. The office runs on time. The hygienists are friendly and competent. The kids are all fine with the dentist: no phobias or fears. Dr. Quezada is a young man with a young family so he knows how to handle kids. I have in the past had a kid tag along and they have been accommodating. So never a bad experience for me.
When I went to check the website the first thing that popped up was about their cosmetic dentistry practice. This surprised me - don't let lt it put you off. They were a family practice first!
Having said all that, you may find a practice that is really oriented to kids exclusively and if that is what you want, Colonial may not be for you.
