Does anyone have a pediatrician they love and would recommend who works at Kaiser Vandever (San Diego) location?
Hi Everyone, thank you SOOO much for responding to my request about finding a good Pediatrician! I took your advice and switched Peds to Aida Martinez in Clairemont. (It's not much farther from where I live than the Vandever location)
Anyhow, I met her yesterday and she was lovely. Thank you again I feel so much relief about finding my boys a pediatrician I feel comfortable with.
M., when you find one, would you let me know too? I actually found one when my son was just born, but she is sooo hard to get an appt. with. Her name is Dr. Feghali (sp?). She's fantastic, which is probably why she is so booked. Now I see Dr. Ezeakoli (sp?), but she's not my favorite. I've seen Dr. Dao ('Dow')also, and she's ok. (For me though, she looks 18--hard to take advice from her, even if I'm in the wrong here...)

I've been using Dr. Patricia Cantrell for 9 years and love her. She answers all my questions and doesn't make me feel like she's rushing me out of there. I also like a nurse practitioner, Susan Parme. There are others that we've seen that I like but I wouldn't know their names unless I heard them. Hope this helps.

Dr. John Cella in La Mesa is the BEST pediatrition with Kaiser. He is not at Vandever though. I had a friend refer me to him when my oldest was an infant (now almost 12) and I have 4 kids total! We have never been disappointed with him. He has been there a long time - he is a father and grandfather but still enjoys his work! I have referred a lot of friends to him and they have all liked him! His head nurse is great too. Hope this helps.
I tried to track the doctor's name down without success, but there was/is a young asian doctor who was the pediatrician on call years ago when my daughter was in the hospital. He was amazingly gentle with her and attentive and kind to us. I think his name is something like Willingham Lo/Lu/Woo. If you want to make the short drive to the Clairemont Mesa facility, I highly recommend Dr. Aida Martinez. She is my daughter's physician of record and I think I will be switching my son over to her, even though he should theoretically be more comfortable with a man. She's wonderful!
We have Dr. Cantrell and she is fantastic. She treated my daughter in the hospital a day after she was born. We liked her friendly, knowledgeable manner. And a friend of mine who is a nurse at Kaiser recomended her highly. Now at nine months, she makes the time at appointments to patiently answer all of our questions.
Dr. Farrell was awesome. She was the first pediatrician that I saw after the birth of my first son and she impressed me. She spent time with us explaining and showing me how to do things.

Our pediatrician is Dr. Siano at the Clairemont Mesa location. She's pretty nice and really attentive to my son. She gives good advice and I just like the way she works. We like to try to treat things naturally before we turn to medications and she seemed to agree, which I liked.
