My boyfriend is turning the big 30 next week. I'd really like to get or make him something special from our son, who is 2. He will be starting a new job in two weeks so I was thinking of something that he can hang in his office or put on his desk. Any suggestions or cute, creative craft ideas would be great. Thank you!

What can I do next?

There are picture frames out there that hold a picture on one side & a hand or foot print on the other. It would make the picture on Daddy's desk a little extra special.

A shadow box frame with pictures, drawings, paintings etc. done by your son would be cute to.

Finger Painting is always fun. Just have your son go to town with the colors and mix them all up and spread them all over the paper. Then, cut out the best part and put it in a frame to size. Because your son is 2, it's not like he can write and if you do alot of writing on it, it'll clearly be from you instead of your son.

You can also go to a place like "Paint Your Plate" or Lilly Pad Ceramics and have your son paint an item for him. This takes a few days, but it's fun.

Buy a blank book, you can usually find small, cheap ones at any craft store, and have your son decorate it or have him write his dad a 'story' even if it just pictures. Blank stationary also works! I did this when I was a kid and have since passed on the fun tradition to my kids.

have fun!

We did this for my husband for Father's Day one year. Paint your sons hands different colors and do a hand-print collage. Then Frame it. It will make a nice keepsake he can hang in his office.
