My daughter is potty trained for a while now, last night she took a bubble bath and as I was putting her pjs on I noticed a red rash on her but and it went all the way to the front to her private. I have never seen anything like that and im worried that its somthing bad. It does not hurt her because she wasnt fussy or anything I did put A&D ointment and this morning it went away. does anyone know what this can be and what caused it?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for the answers, Since then the rash has gone away and has not come back. I did notice it was the bubble bath that did that I have not taken her a bubble bath and she has not gotten irritated. Im happy its gone.

I'm with those that said the bubble bath is most likely the problem.
When I give my daughter a bath I let her splash and play around in clean water then at the very end I soap her up and give her a final rinse with the shower head before taking her out to make sure I got all the soap off of her.
If you're not rinsing all the soap off and she's sitting in it her whole bath you can easily get irritation.

Probably the bubble bath. Some kids are more sensitive in that area. Might be best to avoid any additives to the bath for awhile and see if anything recurs.

I was highly sensitive to bubble bath as a kid, it ALWAYS gave me a rash, especially that pink Mr. Bubble stuff.
Try switching to a pure and natural bath gel with no colors or scents, maybe that will help.

Could be a yeast infection but that usually doesn't go away so quickly with just A&D ointment.

She might not have wiped well and it irritated her hiney.
