Hello! I have an amazing 12 and a half year old. He desperately wants to find a friend that shares his interest in reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. He loves these creatures, knows an incredible amount of info about them, is constantly reading up on them, and observing them. He has quite a collection. He loves going to reptile shows. He wants so badly to find a friend who is between the ages of 10 to 14 who is as passionate about these animals as he is. If your child is into these critters or you know of a child who is, please let me know or pass this message along. Thanks so much!

Have you tried the Michigan Reptile clubs?

I know their are several in the area because I talked to them a few years ago when we were doing the Novi Pet Expo with the dogs.

There were people there from all age groups and they were all very friendly and helpful.

They will be at the Pet Expo is going on next weekend in Novi:

Hope this helps

My 8 year old daughter is very much into snakes, turtles and frogs too. Speaking of that, would you like 2 Ball Pythons? They are very cool and are used to being handled. You could have the tank and everything that comes with it. Just let me know if you are interested. Hee hee. : )

I'd also recommend checking at your local nature center. My son loves bugs and outside creatures. Our nature center has displays for this, including a bee hive (which fascinates me, and freaks me out!). But everyone that works there knows my son's name and he knows them. He loves it and it could be a good place to start a friendship with others or to meet others with the same interest.
