New to the State of MI and Novi

Hi T. and welcome to Novi. It looks like everyone is helping you out with the play places and parks so I will offer a few suggestions for you and your hubby. There is so much to do in Novi! Check out Fifth Avenue Ballroom sometime. I hear that they are starting dueling pianos on Fridays and they have a really great band on Thursdays, sometimes 80's music on Saturdays. There is also Lucky's of Novi at Fountain Walk. They have games, great food, and a bowling alley. Its alot of fun. Add me to your myspace if you want to chat more. Good luck! www.myspace.com/addy_p

I'm also in Northville, there is a park/village in downtown Northville called Mill Race Village. My daughter loves to play there. There is a baby consignment shop (Baby Baby) also in downtown Northville.

There is Maybury Park off of 8 Mile and Beck. Lots of walking trails and there's a park also around that area too.

In downtown Plymouth there's Kid's Castle (or something like that name) which is an indoor climbing area (tubes, slides, etc). There's also a nice consignment store in Plymouth (Riley Grace). I have a display going up in it.

As far as bars, The Post in Novi is pretty popular. I love Andiamo (Also in Novi, near the post) for a NICE dinner, and second city (improv show) is also there.

Welcome to Michigan let me tell you have moved to a great city I love Novi there is a ton to do. I have told my husband that I want our next home to be in Novi. great shopping and its only getting bigger. As far as best parks go hit Kensington metro park they have great nature trails, beach, petting farm and a new sprinkler park for kids. As far as going to bars you are in the right spot, you have fth avenue, library pub, second city-dry martini,tequila rain just a few to get you started. I'm from Northville, so very close. There is a nice place to walk and a nice park in downtown Northville. It's on Griswold and Main street. You may want to try there.
