My husband & I are *probably* moving to the dallas area. we will live in Addison, but I will be going to UTD (Richardson) I'm looking for somewhere to take my 3 yr old daughter for a few hours while i take classes. I had her registered for day school at our church here in Louisiana. I'm so disappointed that it doesn't look like she will be going there! :( Any advice on childcare/ preschools/ mother's day out/ anything! would be fabulous! She has never been to "daycare" just mother's day out! I'm a nervous wreck about having to find something in an area where i know NO ONE to ask!!

What can I do next?

The fear of the unknown! I know! It's stressful. Our company, www.momcheck.com - is a place to start (it's free)- It's a database of every single childcare facility in the DFW metroplex. You can search for what you want in hours, rates, etc. We actually go in and "Secret shop" daycares & post our reports, too, but we haven't done Richardson. You can still narrow your choices though and then post for feedback. Mamasource is a GREAT resource, the ladies give excellent advice!

Welcome (maybe) to Texas - and Good Luck!

Canyon Creek Baptist has a wonderful MDO and pre-k program. My kids LOVE it there. They are also offering a summer program we are going to. It is not too far from UTD, so maybe it would be a good option for you. You can choose which days you want and they have early arrival and extended care if needed.
Good luck!

I would recommend the on-campus child care. It is convenient and affordable. The schedule matches your own and you don't have to worry about extra gas, traffic, or being too far from your daughter.
