I'm looking for a pediatrician for my daughter; we are moving to the King Farm area. Male or Female, no special concerns, just a nice clean facility with a good repuation and no too far. Thanks!

So What Happened?

We have been going to Potomac Pediatrics for quite a while now and we are VERY happy with all the doctors there. They are very good about getting us in for sick visits and have a very child friendly office. We see Dr. Seigle and have also seen Dr. Moss and we love them both! The location is great too...

I've been taking my sons to Gary Brecher, MD for many, many years. (He was my pediatrician when I was a kid!) We love him. Asthma is his specialty, which my guys need, but he is great with all childhood issues. He was voted a top doc in Washingtonian a few years back. He also has a few other doctors in his practice (Milestone Pediatrics) which helps when you need to get in in a hurry. Great office staff too. Another perk, the office has 2 waiting rooms; one sick, one healthy. I like that. They are located in Germantown, right off of 270. I live in Derwood, just down the road from King Farm. It takes me about 15 minutes to get there.

Good luck to you and your family!

i am not sure if this will help, however i have a almost 5 yr old. when i was in the hospital having her, i had a list of doctors, i asked any nurse that came into my room if they would look at the list and recommend someone. they all picked Dr. Hashim Hashim. He is located in Rockville on Randolph Rd. We have been going to him ever since. He does not use a answering service, he answers his own phone after hours. the last time i was in his office, i noticed that he was names as one of the best pediatricians in the area (maybe even USA, i am not sure). Some of his patients are low income, which i personally liked. it showed to me that it wasnt all money for him. he didnt always prescribe antibotics, when just good old fashion commen sense would work. Alot of doctors prescribe antibotics and then your child becomes ammune to them.

anyway, good luck.

I just moved to this area as well and got a ton of recommendations for Potomac Pediatrics (located by the Shady Grove Hospital). We see Dr. Caren Glassman and have also seen a couple others and really, we have zero complaints. I loved my old Peds doc so this transition was hard but good. I really like going there.
