Plainfield is wonderful -checkout the downtown area ASAP. As for music lessons, my dear friend gives voice/piano/guitar lessons. Email her at ____@____.com

Hi S.,

I think you will like the Plainfield area a lot--lots to do and very family freindly. The only real down side is that the area has grown very rapidly over the past 10 years and the roads just can't accomodate the traffic volume anymore--lousy rush hours and commutes at times. Another caution, coming from Florida you may need some time to adjust to our crazy weather (especially the winter!)

Anyway, my pediatrician is Dr Michael Reicherts ###-###-####) and I highly recommend him. I am a nurse and tend to be very choosy when it comes to my and my family's medical providers. He is very casual and laid back and has a very calming manner yet he is very knowledgeable, thorough, and always takes time to answer all questions. As a matter of fact, my 3.5 year old still gets excited when it's time to see "Dr Mike". He has a female partner and 2 female nurse practitioners as well. His nursing staff is top rate, they're always happy to respond to phone questions and I can always get same day or next day appointments for illnesses. He is located in Naperville but it's right near the border of Plainfield so depending on where in Plainfield you will be, the drive would be anywhere from 5-20 minutes.

If you like Italian food, my favorite is "Baci" located right in the heart of downtown Plainfield. Try "Vita Bella" for great pizza and "Chili's" for great casual dining that is family friendly or can be a nice night out without the kids too.

Lastly, a very dear friend of mine teaches piano out of his Plainfield home. He is a mastered prepared pianist himself and does great with all ages. His number is ###-###-####.

Hope this has been helpful and feel free to email me with any questions at ____@____.com Good luck with your upcoming move and welcome to the area.

C.

Hi S.,
We moved to Plainfield in November from Chicago before our son was born-not nearly as big of move as yours and we really like it here. There are plenty of restaurants and the city is only a short drive away for plenty of activites-that's one reason we chose to move to this suburb. Our pediatricians name is Dr. Patrick O'Neal at Pediatric Health Associates in Plainfield. The phone number is 1-###-###-####. I am a pediatric nurse myself (now I stay home with our son) and find that I can be kind of picky about pediatricians, but he has met all of our expectations. There are lots of parks and forest preserves in the area and lots of shopping. What area of Plainfield will you be moving to? I think you will like it here very much. It has been a nice place to live for our family. If I can help you in any other way please let me know-my email is ____@____.com. I know how hard it is to move somewhere new!
Take Care,
N.

Hi, we moved to Plainfield a year ago and I love it! To be honest, I haven't explored everything in the area yet, so I don't have a lot to recommend, but just wanted to let you know I am here if you would like a friend! We are originally from St. Louis, MO, where our family and friends still are. So, I know how hard it can be to move. I am 31, married, with two kids - a girl age 10 1/2 and a boy age 7 1/2. Feel free to email me anytime - ____@____.com

Take care,
A. Lindsey (Ali)

Our ped is Dr. Skurka in Oswego. It takes about 15 min to get to. My kids really like him. As far as restaurants there are several in the downtown & outlying areas. We really like Front Street Cantina(Mexican), Lazy Lizard ( South West Tex-mex), and Red Robin ( American Grill). Feel free to contact me if you'd like.
