Menstrual Cycle After Breastfeeding

Dear Moms:

I stopped breastfeeding two months ago when my baby was 9 months old. However, my period has not started yet. I was wondering if you could share your experience in this, for example, how long it usually takes to resume the menstrual cycle after you've stopped breastfeeding? do I wait for the body to take its own recovery course?

Thanks so much in advance for sharing your experience.

Congratulation D.,

You're pregnant!

LOL!! Just kidding. Mine took 6 months. Unless you are experiencing painful ovulation or intense mood stuff, I'd relax.

Count that a blessing! Some women start while breastfeeding, others dont get it for a while after breastfeeding. So it is very variable. I hope to be one that doesnt get hers until way after breastfeeding. Just let things rid their course.

I think its totally individual.
I got mine with both my girls WHILE breast feeding. 6 months and 9 months. It sucks, I wish I was in your shoes, unless your trying to create another..?
