My daughter is invited to a sweet 16 Masquerade Party. Where can I find her a nice outfit to wear...any ideas or suggestions on what to wear?

What can I do next?

My stepdaughter is actually doing the same theme so we've been working on this for months!! For the dress, go to Ross or Marshall's! Found my daughter a very cute formal dress that she is also wearing to prom this year for $20!!! And if you don't want to make the mask then check with the quince shops! They do this theme often and can get you great mask at great deals! And you can always add a lil extra bling to it if you want it more fantsy!!

I would do a fun party/coctail style dress with a fun mask - I think the point is the mask and I am sure you can find some FUN tutorials on make up UNDER the mask, making the mask and hair on youtube. OHHHH I hope she has fun I would love to do something like this! Oh oh and may I suggest buying a pair of cheap (low cost) heels from payless or Ross and glue Glitter to them (tuorials online) I soooo can not wait until haloween for my 30yr old self to do this! Now I think I want to do a Marie Antoinette Masked ball halloween theme with my friends it could be sooo fun! Yeah a tinge of jealousy!
If she has not had her sweet 16 yet and you are doing a party my sister did a Toga party for hers (I chose to not have one) and it was AMAZING!

HOW COOL! I'd go to a party store to find a pretty little face mask (unless she'll get one at the party?) Try Macy's juniors section for a cute little cocktail dress, and maybe pair with some elbow length gloves :)

You don't mention when the party is but finding an appropiate mask would be paramount. Since Carnivale isn't until April, I think, you shouldn't have a problem finding what you are looking for or making a mask together from scratch. Look at masks online to get suggestions there on what you may want. Definitely go with a cocktail dress and elbow length gloves. The same place that would die shoes could die gloves as well if you wanted to do a matchy matchy thing with the dress. I own a red, black and gold mask. I plan on picked up a royal blue and silver one later this year. She will have a blast. Great party idea.
