I am looking for a good website to make scrapbooks and have them printed. Anyone know who has the best prices, cutest books and pages, most user friendly? I'm trying to get caught up on my daughter's and our scrapbooks before the new baby arrives in a couple of months. Thanks. :)

What can I do next?

Also, don't forget on the Mamapedia website you can create a timeline and keep important events there. Good Luck!

If you have a Mac, I've found that the iPhoto books are the easiest to create and print the best. They are also pretty cheap and have great layouts. My next favorite is Shutterfly, then Kodak, then Snapfish. Shutterfly is more user friendly, but they can get pricy. Snapfish is the least user friendly, in my opinion, and the quality of the books is not as good.

Look online for some coupons and you can get some good deals. Also, I wouldn't order all of the books at once. Usually once or twice a year, I get a free book offer and there is some kind of sale pretty much every month. I have four email accounts, so I can create separate accounts and end up getting four free books at a time, which make great Christmas presents for the grandparents. Shutterfly lets you share the books with other users so you don't have to create the book again if you want to order it from a separate account. Good luck!

I use MyPublisher.com. It is really easy to upload the program onto your computer and add your pics and put them in a book how you want them to be.

check out creativememories.com i don't know what you are looking to spend, but they have the software that you can do just like traditional scrapbooking and they send you the printed album when you are done. you choose the album, how many pictures you want on a page, the layout, colors, stickers, and every detail, you can even journal all through it too! it is awesome and if you love to scrapbook this is a quick and easy alternative!

hope this helps!

I use www.smilebox.com. They allow you to choose your pictures, videos, backgrounds, layouts, details and you can text whatever you like on each scrapbooked page as well. They offer two services, one charges just 29.99 per year and the other is free- The only difference between the free and the paid subscription is if you choose to email your smilebox created scrapbook to someone (oh, and they do slideshow, greeting cards, invites, etc also) the free version will have one or two ads off to the side of the scrapbook. The paid version does not have ads. The biggest difference for me was if you chose to add music to your creation (for emailing purposes) the free version only offers three songs but the paid version you can choose from hundreds of songs and even add your own!

I have paid for a subscription to smilebox, but my subscription has recently run out, and I have not had to re-pay for anything, I still have all the extras I had before when I paid :)

Smilebox is super easy! I used this to make my christmas cards this year and everyone loved them. I usually go between smilebox and wal-mart's photo center online. Walmart makes hardback and softback albums where your photos are actually printed on the pages of the book (rather than inserted like a regular album) and they allow you to choose the book cover material (linen or leather etc) and color. They also let you arrange your photos in different formats and using different background layouts, prints, and colors and you can insert text also.

Oh, you have to have a printer and photo paper to use smilebox, unless you send your creation to walmart.com's photo center. Smilebox does not put your scrapbook together for you and then mail it to you like some other scrapbooking companies do, but I have found that even if I use the cheapest printer paper from walmart (the 10-20 dollar type not the kodak 40 dollar photo paper) the pictures come out very nice and i only use a cheap printer I got from walmart for 50 bucks last yr, lol. This saves a bundle tho, so you really have to decide what you want to pay for and what options are you really getting at what price?

Hope that helps! There are lots of options out there, I usually go for what's most user friendly and the cheapest, and these are the best I've found.
Best of luck to you!

Creative Memories (www.creativememories.com) is really great if you want to have total control over the creative design. You can choose layouts that are already put together, or you can create your own using either Creative Memories digital kits or other digital scrapbooking kits that you find elsewhere. I love Creative Memories for that reason. I usually want to have total control over the creative side of the scrapbook. Their quality is really good as well. They are quite a bit more expensive though.

For cheaper, but still quality books I have also used Shutterfly.com. I have loved the books that I have ordered from them. The main difference being that you don't have as much creative control. However, they do have a good selection of layouts for a variety of types of books (kids, travel, celebrations, etc) and a good variety of layouts with numbers of pictures ranging from 1 to 9 pictures I think.

I would agree with the person who said not to do all of your books at once. I have managed to get a couple of free books in the last couple of years, because I waited until I got a buy one get one free coupon or email from them. (They especially like to do that before Christmas time). You can go ahead and create your books online and save them and Shutterfly will store them in your account until you are ready to actually have them printed. So you can still do the work and just save it until you get a coupon.

Have fun.

I do scrapbook pages for people if you're interested in that...otherwise scrapblog.com is supposed to be good. Shutterfly and snapfish both have some scrap elements on their books and print them at fairly decent prices

A lady I know had one made on snapfish for her daughter for Christmas. It was really nice and she said it didn't cost much at all.
