We are in the process of purchasina house with pool in May. I would like to have my 2-year-old learn how to swim, for safety's sake. We have done the Benbrook YMCA for 2 summers now. It is fun and he enjoys it, but he didn't really learn much. I looked into Emler and they are closing their Arlington pool this June. We live in West FW and Southlake would be a huge drive. Does anyone know of any other good places that actually teach 2-year-olds to swim???
Aquakids in North Fort Worth is really great. My daughter has been going there since August and I have been really happy with her skills development. They group the kids both by age and skill level so they are in a group with just kids right at their level and I believe the max in a class is 4 which I thought was great.
Aqua kids is great! My two year old learned how to swim in one session. They have a Keller location, and a Flower Mound - great school!
There is a swim school in benbrook in sw fort worth, dont know if this drive would be to long for you or not. if your child is 2 then they require 2 sets of swim lessons. if you want more info respond back and i can email you the email that they sent me with all the info you need. they seem to know what they are doing and i think it takes place at the ladys house. let me know if you need more info.

First, we have had better luck at that age teaching them ourselves, starting with a floaty suit like they sell at Target. They are very unreliable at that age. I would recommend a katch-a-kid net - much safer than a gate, not to mention nicer looking. That way, the net is only off when you are in the pool. Unlike a gate, they can not get to the water. (Mine were always smart enough at 2 to climb over a gate) Also, install a beeping alarm on all doors, so you know before they get out. A pool is a little scary at this age, but so far so good for us. Frankie Bolen does group lessons or will do private lessons at her house. She lives in the Lakeside area (Lake Worth). I have not used her yet, but this year we will be putting our girls in her classes. My sister-in-law used her with her kids and they are great swimmers. Much better than the Y.
