I'm in the process of looking for a preschool for my almost 3-year-old. I would love to hear from you if have had experience at any preschools in the Pinole/El Sobrante area. I'd like to hear your recommendations along with the positives and negatives. Thanks so much!

B.,

I live in El Sobrante and when my husband and I began our pre-school search we located an excellent school named Kathy's Montessori School. My daughter accompanied us during the visit and she feel in love with the school and the teachers. It is located right off the Hilltop exit. This would have been her school to begin in the fall, however our conflicting work schedules have resulted in the need to place her in a school in San Francisco. I would recommend the school for its charm, teachers and dedication to learning.

Both my children attended Little Sweet Peas preschool in San Pablo up until last friday. Kelli Tharpe is the director and she's wonderful. Thanks to her and her staff, both my kids are bilingual and so well rounded. She's a one of a kind person, you'd have to meet her and see her in action to believe it. We even commuted out of our way after we moved from Contra Costa County to keep our children there as we couldn't have asked for better care. Give her a call and stop by, you'll be amazed and probably choose her on the spot. Good luck, I know this is the hardest decision for us moms.

Hi, B., my children go to a wonderful preschool/daycare in El sobrante. My son has been with them since he was two. He's now eight years old and I have a three year old who also's there, too. She has a very diverse set of children. They provide meals, transportation to and from school and entertainment (field trips, lessons, etc.) She has been friends with my mother-in-law for 40 years. Her name is Jeri Monjaraz phone ####-###-####.
