Hi all, we recently moved to Olalla, Wa and am looking for a preschool for my 2 year old this fall. She is quite active and needs some socializing. I did co-op with my son and really liked that. Any input will be apprecaiated!
Thanks,
L.

Hi L.,
Welcome to the neighborhood! My sons are pretty much grown, so it has been a long time since I had to worry about day care. Olalla is such a tiny community I'm afraid there isn't much there. The only on-going thing I can think of is the Port Orchard Library does story time for various age groups. Maybe post a flyer at the Olalla store? OH just remembered, there is Little
Doves pre-school on Phillips rd (across from Mullenix Elem.)
Good Luck,
Vicki

Hi!
I have a friend that is a teacher at the Purdy Preschool. It is up behind Peninsula Highschool off 144th.Her name is Kathy Rae.My little boy was in her class for 1 year now we are out on the Key Peninsula. She has been there for quite awhile. They have a good staff at Purdy Preschool. My friend teacher Kathy and teacher Jeannie as they are addressed by the children are wonderful. There are two classrooms.Teacher Marianne has the other classroom.Peninula school district is very good if you are in pierce county.Depending on where you live olalla runs into kitsap county as well and I'm not familar with that school district.Welcome to the area.Good luck.
Take care,
P. Cusick

Welcome to Olalla! I don't know what they have in Olalla for pre-school or how much you can afford, but the Givens Center in Port Orchard has ECAP/HEADSTART pre-school that 5 of my grandchildren have attended and #6 starts there in Sept. It's for lower income families but I don't know what the income cut-off is. They are VERY good with the kids and the kids all loved it. Hope this helps!
