Part-time Preschool for 2 Year Old In/near Aurora

I am not sure what part of town you are willing to travel to but i have a home daycare and in live in commerce city. If you are interested please let me know.

Also about date night/moms day out-- ask a sitter to come to your house rather than leaving her somewhere else. I have a 14 year old daughter in trainging for child care --babysitting

My kids all went to St.Mark's pre-school in old Aurora off 6th and Del Mar circle. I can't say enough good things about it, safe, clean, well run and most impotrant lot's of love!

I found that most "preschools" for 2 year old, is actually just daycare, which is fine, but just know what you are expecting. If you're just looking for a break and socialization for your child, awesome, but if you're hoping she'll stat learning colors, numbers, etc, I would just work on that at home with her. My kids went to Beck Preschool which is run through Aurora Parks and Rec and is off of 6th and Buckley. I (and they!) absolutely LOVED it and, even though now I am in Denver, I am thinking about bringing my daughter there for mommy and me classes. There are a few others through Aurora Parks and Rec also (Meadowood is one, I think) and I have heard that they are good, as well. The director at Beck is Donna Hunt and she and all of the teachers are more than qualified. They have 3 preschool rooms that cater to kids of different ages and all of them are fabulously equipped and far cleaner than any of the other places that I had looked...and I had looked, let me tel ya'! We have a little one who turns two today, and in the research I have done on preschools I found out there will be a Goddard School opening near Arapahoe and Aurora Parkway in late summer/early fall. We plan to take our little on there, but perhaps not until she is three.

I have also heard that Primrose Schools are good - there's one at Gun Club Road off of Smoky Hill and E-470.

There are MANY good preschools out there - you need to go and visit and tour the center (unannounced is best). Try to go in the early morning so that you see the program in action. If you go near lunch time or just after, most of the kids are sleeping on cots. Afternoons seem to be the less structured times for those kids staying all day - the mornings are when the classes are in session.

I take my 3 year old to Holy Love Lutheran pre-school. We do not go to this church, but have researched and found that Lutheran churches have a fabulous reputation for education. He is currently enrolled in their summer camp program 4 hrs/day and loves it! The Cherry Creek school district has a pre-school program as well.

The Orchard Valley pre-school also has a great reputation but is pretty pricey.
