After months of not knowing what is wrong with my son we now have a diagnosis. I have done lots of research on the web but would love to connect with other moms dealing with this disease. Thanks.

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

I do not have a child with this disorder; however, help parents with children who have digestive disorders (among other things). I am a Holstic Health and Nutritional Consultant and help people make changes in their diet, environment, and lifestyle that will help improve or eliminate disease.

One of the three factors I mentioned above are primary culprits for disease. Therefore, I simply remove the obstacles and help create a healthy environment for the immune system to recover and thrive.

Please feel free to call me at ###-###-#### with questions.

Warm Regards,
G. Van Luven

Hi J.,

My name is T. and I have a 8 month old son with eosinophilic protightis and a nephew with eosinophilic ephigitis (which is really bad). I breastfeed my son, so I'm on the elimation diet myself. Introducing new foods is a challenge most days. How did you find out about your son? If you would like to chat more, my email is ____@____.com. Thank you T.

I think as rare as that disorder is, you will have a hard time finding other kids with it. There are 2 good support places that I know. Try one in tucson, by email at ____@____.com the center for research on these eosinophilic illnesses is in Cincinnati at cincinnatichildrens.org. I trained there and they are the best.

J.,

There are a couple of local resources. One is specifically for eosinophilic disorders: http://www.eosinophilictucson.com/ . There other is a general children's special dietary need group located on the web at: http://groups.google.com/group/childrens-dietary and it's membership ranges from food allergies to Celiac Disease and some members have eosinophilic disorders. There is also an active group in Phoenix that is worth the drive, but as mentioned in another response, the big center for it is in Cincinnati.

Take care,
D.
