Looking for Indoor Place to Walk with My Infant near Lewisville or Denton

Hello.
I love taking my baby for walks, and he also loves it. I found a great place to take him that we both love, but it is starting to get cold. I do not want to take him out when it is cold, but I also do not want to stay inside all day either. I would love to continue walking. Is there an indoor place I can take him to walk (besides the mall). I cannot afford a gym membership, so it limits me.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I know my dd is almost 14 yrs old next month but in Plano a group of moms went to Thunderbird skating rink on a weekly basis. You skated while pushing baby/toddler in stroller for less than $5.

We had a great time. I'm not sure if it is still offered since our little ones are now middle schoolers but it is worth checking out in your area.

I too can't really think of any place besides a mall, but Grapevine Mills is great. It is a mile around the place, all one level, so you can get decent exercise without having to go up and down elevators.

I live in Lewisville, and it takes me maybe 10 minutes to get to Grapevine Mills. I walked there a lot last winter when my son was smaller.

There are indoor malls in Denton & Lewisville. They also have play areas for when your baby gets older.

I know you said not the mall, but that may be your best bet. I used to walk there every morning when my son was a baby. I met my friend and we walked together. I don't know if they still are, but malls (not the stores) used to open like at 8a.m. for walkers........so if it is the shops and crowds you want to avoid that might work. I don't know if they still are open that early though.

I know you said you don't want to walk at the mall, but that's my favorite place! I don't know of any other indoor places that are free to walk around. We go to Vista Ridge about once a week. My 16 month old loves playing at the play area! I also like to go to Ikea in Frisco occasionally. Have you looked on the websites for the cities of Lewisville and Denton? They might have something. Sorry I don't have any other ideas!
