I am seriously considering home schooling my son for a while. He has been a Christian School up until now. My plans are for him to return, but I have to create aome income to do that. He does not want to go to public school and I don't want him to go either. I want to make sure he is exposed, challenged and stimulated if we do this. I am not sure what the best resources are for home schooling and would like to connect with other families doing this.

As a Christian, you're in luck, because there are tons of homeschool groups that center around Christianity.
I typed "homeschool groups Southfield Michigan" into Google and this is what I came up with. Note that I didn't even type "Christian" as part of that, so you could go back and add that and probably come up with more.
